Sisters in Salt Lake!

Rachel and Brittany stopped to see me on their way to Wyoming. It was so nice to have Brittany and Rachel come visit me in Salt Lake and stay the night. I was so excited that they got to see my place and see me live my new life on my own. Sadly it was Finals week so I didn't get to spend a lot of time with them but i'm glad that I got to spend the time that I did with them. I love them so much! Miss you Big Sisters!! Thank you for being such great example's to me and showing me what is most important in life.

I love how as grown adults we can still be silly together.

Little B-Rad in his Mecca designer shirt. LOVE it. B-Rad's got STYLE! This time when I got to hold Bradley and play with him I finally felt like he was Brittany's son. It just felt so weird before that it was Brittany's kid, but now it finally sunk in. I think a lot had to do with watching Britt take care of him and be all Mom-like.

Family Time

I kept it like this the WHOLE time. I'm afraid to speed now. My wallet and my record can't afford for me to get anymore tickets. Oh and the check engine light is on (typical), but i fixed it.

I'm so happy I got to visit my family, who I haven't seen since Christmas. I had a GREAT time being around them and I really enjoy their company. I miss them again but i'll see them soon I hope. Happy Easter Family! I wish I could be there for every holiday but I have to sacrifice some things in life to get me where I ultimately want to be.

Snowboarding

Scott took me snowboarding! Turns out its harder than it looks. It was my first time snowboarding and I suck! Scott was so patient with me. Bless his heart. Next time I go I'll go with my brothers so I don't feel so bad about holding them back. Although it was frustrating, it was FUN!

So I bought a couch!

We needed a couch for our apartment since Bree took hers back when she moved out and Roch is getting married in April, so I found this really good deal on KSL and decided to buy a couch. I'm a big girl now so I make my own purchases. :) MY FIRST COUCH!! yay!

New Me

This is the New Me! Keri goes to Paul Mitchell Hair School and I wanted to get my hair done, so she convinced me to let her do it. I was a little hesitant at first but I trusted her for the most part. So, on Thursday I drove down to Provo and let Keri color and cut my hair. She did AMAZING!! She really has some natural talent for hair. She didn't tell me until after that it was her first time coloring someone's hair until half way through the process. Oh Keri!! Bless her heart. She did wonderful though and I absolutely LOVE it! Thanks Keri Girl. TFF!

So i haven't made a post in a long while. Today has been a FANTASTIC day for me. I woke up at a decent hour and got ready for school my first day back at school for a new semester. I was worried the night before because my schedule was a little messed up and i wasn't sure that i'd get the schedule that i want/needed. I then went to school and had the best time meeting my new teachers and classmates, and seeing all my friends. I love my classes. I then went home for lunch with Roch and i checked the waiting list i was on for a class that i needed to fix my schedule. it was open! i quickly signed up for it and my schedule was fixed and perfect. then i went back to school and bought my books, which didn't cost me as much as i planned on. sweet so far right?! then i went to apply at this fancy restaurant downtown, and i'm hoping to hear back from them soon. i then went with Roch to Sam's club and got a few things and we stopped by Wal-Mart. when we pulled up in the parking garage, we were at the right place at the right time. We looked over by the entrance and saw a lady lying on the ground with people around her, i thought it was just a bum or something lying down on the ground, but Rochelle was like "somethings wrong". Rochelle yelled at me to go help and see what was wrong. i think her exact words were, " go nurse, go!" so i got out and went over there to find this lady that had passed out and was convulsing and not responding. so i took charge because i'm the only one who knew what to do. i yelled at someone to call 911, but no one had a cell phone. so i called 911 while i was checking the lady's vital signs to make sure she was stable. her vitals were good and she was coherent but not responding. she looked dazed and confused, as is normal for her condition, and i asked her questions about her medical history and she started digging through her purse and pulled out her phone and showed me her medical history that was typed up in her phone. then she flung back and started seizing. i immediately dove down to hold her head so it wouldn't be repeatedly hitting the ground. when she stopped seizing she rose up quickly and started convulsing again and after a few minutes of monitoring her the EMT's showed up and took over as i explained what had happened and what i had done. i then went on my way and left with such a massive adrenaline rush! this experience reminded me of how badly i want to be a nurse. then later i went to FHE and played some games and went home to help Roch study for her CNA class.

So all in all today was a fantastic day filled with happiness! i had the chance to save someone's life. nothing can beat that feeling! i know that my Heavenly Father is well pleased with me and i know that i was meant to be there at that exact time to help out one of his children. i am so blessed to have what i have and know what i know. Today was a reminder of that!

So I was getting ready for church on Sunday and I looked out my window and I saw a Christmas tree by the dumpster, so I told my roommates about it, and we decided to take it! haha since we wanted to get one anyway we took it and the only reason why someone was throwing it out was because the top strand of lights don't work. but hey! It's still a perfectly good tree. This is going to be a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
